AMBER PRATT
Salesforce Administrator | Data & Reporting Specialist
About Me. About this site. An informal introduction.
Hi! I am SO GLAD you're here! I'm Amber, and I hope I get to meet you soon.
This site is meant to show off some of my work while giving you an idea of who I am as a person.

I'm a forever learner, and a daily player of the NYT Connections and Wordle (what is your current and longest streak?!). You can probably find me playing some kind of brain game, working on a puzzle, teaching myself something new, or advancing existing skills. I love singing off key, pretending I know the words to the song, and laughing so hard it hurts. I'm your biggest supporter (even if we just met), and probably your new concert or trip buddy. I'm a sucker for rocky beaches and mountain views, trying to find the rainbow, and catching as many sunrises as I can. I'm always down for friendly competition, an adventure, and getting lost in a new place.
I grew up in a convenience store / butcher shop / restaurant turned catering business. It was my grandfather's place, but I loved helping the cashiers up front. It started out with your basic, manual cash register, but as technology progressed they were upgraded to a computer and a POS system that housed every product in store. Inventory time was my favorite, especially when it came time to updating the system - this is very likely where my love of working with databases began. In middle school, I was exposed to robotics and machining through our Gateway to Technology program and in high school I found myself in the computer maintenance program - the two are where my love of tinkering and building grew.
As I became more involved with school, I found myself volunteering wherever I could. It started with highway cleanups through Student Council and spending summers with the National Hispanic Institute in high school, to joining a National Co-Ed Service Fraternity in college and employee sponsored community service outreach programs at a professional level (you can read more about my volunteering here). Being involved with the community and being service oriented led me to a career path focusing on Customer Service - my McDonald's and Casino days will forever be my favorite, and I'm convinced I could still work the grill or re-load an ATM if you let me. I was able to use my computer maintenance and willingness to learn to break into my first tech support role - it was software support for an ATS/CRM startup, and where I was exposed to Salesforce for the first time. They gave us all access to the Sandbox and I spent as much time as I could exploring and made it my goal to work with Salesforce in some capacity again.
I officially began working through Trailhead in 2023, and currently hold Mountaineer and Agentblazer: Champion statuses (working towards Expeditioner and Innovator, respectively). I am following the Administrator trail and am working towards earning my Salesforce Administrator Certification (will be certified by June 2025). Following my Administrator Certification, my goal is to obtain my Advanced Administrator, Agentforce Specialist, and Platform App Builder certifications.
